A fun project completed for the Housekeeping department at the local hotel and waterpark Great Wolf Lodge. They went a different route in asking me to do this, and the result was not only fun, but well received! It was a fun project, a unique challenge, and a nice little addition to my portfolio.
Sometimes, it’s hard to like something after you’ve worked at it over and over again. Not the case this time. While I may still tweak the colors on the rabbit itself, this Thank You Card is complete. 🙂 Still have more tweaking on another one before it comes up and the following three should be coming soon, too!
I must say, however, that my favorite part of designing these cards has become the little treat I give myself at the end. Anyone who’s received one of my cards or seen them in person may know already, but I mark all of my cards one the back with my bunny and name. What’s a treat about that, you ask? It’s that every one of them is different. Yes, the bunny is the same, but once I finish an illustrated front, I like to tie it into the back in some small way. Look for it next time– It always makes me smile, too. 🙂
Stay tuned, there’s more to come!
Everyone likes helping their family out, but I really love it. While I wasn’t able to help in finishing the sign for my parent’s business in Snowflake, AZ, I’m so happy I got to help them along with getting it set and ready to go. Had to get back to KC before I could finish painting, but it looks like they finished it up just fine without me and have it hanging up out front. Windrose Armoury has officially made their move. Congratulations, Mom and Dad!!
The long awaited logos for “The Learning Tree“, located in the Kansas City area. Jonny Girson, owner of the store, has been so patient with me while I struggled through this challenge and I am happy to admit that I may have finally made it to where he needed these to be. Its been an interesting experience to learn from. 🙂 Thank you for giving me the opportunity!
