2016 Valentines Card
I still do greeting cards! Are you surprised? Of coarse not– They’re too much fun.
Both of the Valentine’s Day cards up here are my absolute favorite. You can actually purchase a variety of fun stuff with these characters on it over on my RedBubble Page. I’ll admit, I have a walrus t-shirt… He’s just so cute, how could I resist?!
The “party animals” birthday card was another fun exercise using limited colors. From what I was told, the gal it was commissioned for absolutely adored it, which was wonderful to hear. I’ve reworked a version of the card for my own purposes that removed the “beautiful” text from the card to make it a little more user friendly.
Last card that needs explaining is my favorite neon yellow crocodile. If you ever miss someone and you know they think you’re kind of annoying from time to time? That’s the one you should send. 🙂
I’ll have more cards up for you in the near future, including the super fun Easter card I created this year. It was interactive, AND had stickers– how could you go wrong with that?
Easy answer: You can’t!
A set of six thank you cards I’m hoping to finish before the year’s through. It isn’t really a part of my Thesis, but I’m enjoying it all the same! There are corresponding letters to help in the confusion– let me know what you think!
Last week’s even it has passed and it’s mid-week of Spring Break. I’ve discovered, over the years, that it really sucks how short a day, a week, and a year really are. With a conversation just yesterday, my Grandfather asked why I didn’t find a little job over Spring Break. I answered with the obvious “no one hires for that amount of time” and then added a very sad fact.
“The week’s already almost over,” I told him, to which he replied “It’s only Tuesday!”
“There’s only four days left in the week!” I told him, and have since been trying to figure out when time became something there’s never enough of. People tell me daily “Graduation must feel so far away,” and I can’t help but argue that it feels like it’ll be here tomorrow, and I have so much work to get done by then. It’s a mentality, I realize, that helps me to feel like I’m always behind.
I’ll have more pretty pictures to post up soon. I’m finishing up my “Evolution of Music” piece, and have started on a series of Library Cards. I’m also working up a series of “Thank You” notes, my own Commencement notifications, and have developed the serious desire to start a webcomic about a pair of unlikely twins and the trouble they get into as thieves and brothers.
We’ll see how that one goes later, I think. 🙂
