Visioncon 2017

What a fun convention!! This was my very first year attending Visioncon, hosted down in Branson, MO, and before leaving I absolutely had to pre-register for a table for next year. The people were very nice and pleasant, the event itself had lots to do and see, and there was so much to do in Branson, even being the off season! For anyone who doesn’t know, Branson is where Silver Dollar City is, so it’s closed for the winter and the town is kind of on vacation for the same period of time. Still tons to do and see, which I didn’t do or see because conventions still exhaust me. Oh well, gives me an excuse to go back!

For the first time ever, I opened commissions at my booth during the event, which was fun and absolutely something I’ll be doing again. It never ceases to amaze me just how creative people are. I had a bunch of unique requests, so take a look through the images below and see for yourself!

I also learned about a couple other conventions being hosted around that area that I’m going to see about looking into. 🙂

Halloween Challenge Continued and Halted.

Well… October ended. Not sure when the end of the month got here, but I know it happened and, sadly, with the rush of work and whatever else happened in October, I failed to finish the illustration challenge I took up. That being said, I made it pretty far and enjoyed the challenge more than anticipated. Perhaps next year the entire challenge will get finished, hmm?

So, to end the fun little series, here are the last three days I did– unfinished as they may be. Enjoy Batwings, Insect, and Cauldron!

In other news, I hope everyone thoroughly enjoyed their Halloween!

Halloween Challenge!! cont.

Today I bring you four more days of the Halloween Challenge I accepted for the month of October. There’s been some very interesting and very fun imagery to come out of this series… Day 5 was just too hard to resist.

If you want to follow these little guys day-to-day, please +Follow my Tumblr.

Enjoy Days 05 thru 08!

Something Exciting and New

Like every artist, I have a variety of projects I’ve been working on as of late. Three different book projects, plus a comic book/webcomic and an illustrated quilt. I don’t have much time to work on any one for very long, but I wanted to toss a few little snippets up here to kind of show everyone that I’ve been working hard and am, of coarse, still trying to work my way into the world.

The first four snapshots are of a pair of posters I’ve been working over for my webcomic, Tricks, Twins & Thieves, to get the ball rolling on possible merchandising material for the future. Each original drawing is 11×17 inches, and they will be colored eventually! The bottom two shots are little illustrations for a poem/book “This Is A Poem For You”. It’s a personal venture and will be kept between me and the one who wrote it (most likely) but I’m putting a fair bit of effort into it and look forward to showing it to everyone else once it’s complete!
