A set of six thank you cards I’m hoping to finish before the year’s through. It isn’t really a part of my Thesis, but I’m enjoying it all the same! There are corresponding letters to help in the confusion– let me know what you think!
A little over a year ago, I submitted to Doodler’s Anonymous for their Second Coloring Book “Competition”, and they chose my illustration as one of the 60 that made it in. I was super excited to think that kids could be coloring in my page eventually! At long last, they got the book squared away and I got mine in the mail, and it remains one of the highlights of my 2012 year. Thank you, Doodler’s Anonymous! Now it’s time to get coloring!
Jack, the oldest of the orphanage, carries on Father John’s idea even after his passing, along with the old orphanage and the majority of its orphans in a great fire several years ago. Beneath the rubbled and charred remains of the old building, he takes in those without family and hope, in attempt to keep them off the street, out of trouble, and away from worse options. He searches hard for homes and futures for his orphans, while struggling and working full force to keep them safe and out of trouble with the law. Takes place in a fantastical late 1930’s/early 1940’s.
Just a little something I was working on the end the new year in a good way 🙂 There’s about 8 more to draw up, and then I’ll be coloring them in loosely in Photoshop, just to get colors down.
