It’s been awhile since I’ve done much of anything with these guys, and now that I’ve opened an online shop-type-things (at RedBubble.com) I realized that some of these cuties would make awesome stickers and such. So… Here they are all colored and played with. I’m planning to continue working with a selection of the others with a similar intent in mind. This little project of mine has also rekindled my desire to continue working on my INKling sketches. Those will be making an appearance here in a short while!
Finally in the home stretch with only one more card to go! As I draw closer to completing this series and thinking about the End of Semester show the second Friday of May, I keep thinking of ways to display or sell my hard work. It’s a little exciting, thinking about something like that in such a way, going over in my head “Should I display them as cards or hang them in frames as more traditional art?” or “What if I package them up in fives and sell them? Would people buy any?”
I wonder what I’ll decide!
The next card will be my last to finalize, and then it’s off to print and mock up. I hope you’ve been enjoying the completion of the series as much as I have, and I’m very excited to get started on my next assignment. Will I be finishing library cards, or moving onto a Star Trek movie package?
Hmm… So many choices!!!
While I was out of town, a customer I had spoken to last Christmas left her name and number at the store so I could call her to discuss painting a Mural for her daughter’s bedroom. It was a really neat thing to do since I haven’t painted on a wall in YEARS. It turned out great. While I can’t claim the concepts for the images as my own, the job was a lot of fun and I hope her sweet little Olivia enjoys her new “French Themed” walls.
