Star Wars Elephants: Wookie Mammoth

WookieMammoth

How could I resist?!

This is the newest addition to my Star Wars Elephant mini-series: The Wookie Mammoth! As a Chewbacca fan, I really couldn’t say no when the idea hit me upside the head. He took several different name changes, but now that he’s painted and finished, one of them has stuck. šŸ™‚

This piece is originally 8.5 x 11 inches in size, painted in watercolors on vellum bristol paper stock, and is, at this point in time, available for purchase!

Hope you enjoy! I’ll post about him and his compatriots again once I have them up in my Etsy Shop!

Yodaphant Process Video

Hey, all! Last year, I received a commission request to do a series of three Star Wars-themed Elephants. The commissioner had requested Darth Maul, Boba Fett, and Yoda. I’ll post pictures of all three once I have them cleaned up and ready for the public, but until then, enjoy this little time-lapse video of the inking to watercolor process of the third and final piece finished for the set–Ā Yodaphant!

Let me know what you think! I’m starting to get the hang of video editing, I think… šŸ™‚

Finding Dory was CUTE!

No, really, I’ll fight you on this šŸ™‚ As someone who isn’t a fan of the majority of Disney’s sequels, this one might be one of my favorites. They geared it more towards adults, too, with the same amount of cute and plenty of tie-ins to its predecessor. In fact, it might be my favorite sequel… I don’t know, the jury’s still out on that. Monsters U was just SO relatable!

Why does this matter? Well, because it was cute. and as such, it’s my job as an illustrator to showcase something that is that cute! So…. Ta-da!
Finding-Dory-Watercolor

It’sĀ CUDDLE TIME!! Seriously… This movie was too cute, all the annoying-ness aside. It’s worth a watch. šŸ™‚ Why an otter? Well, you obviously haven’t seen the movie then. Hop to it!

The original painting took about 2 hours, and is only 8 x 8 inches! I’m thinking of making it into a print– anyone interested?

Thank You for the Flowers!

Thank You for the FlowersSuch a contently happy little bunny!

This was the very first card I designed when considering doing this cute little series. Originally, the bunny was going to be a 3D element to the card, but I’m beginning to like it more as a flat piece. I won’t make my decision until I’ve mocked up both options. šŸ™‚

Only two more left to go! Let me know what you think!
